I wanted to pop on here and say I am currently in another phase of bad brain and haven't been able to read for the last four months, just so that anyone out there also in this cycle knows they're not alone. It is comforting tho to know I got back on the reading horse once before and prob will again. I also still love to watch videos about witches/aliens/ghosts/spiritual healing✨🔮
Sorry to hear you're in another phase of bad brain. I just sped through the Project Hail Mary last month and am using it as a comp now for my novel! It also got me reading at a pace I hadn't for a while. May I reckon Psalms For the End of the World by Cole Haddon? It's a thinker, but also such a propulsive read with unexpected twists, characters that don't know what's going on and it's one with many short chapters that helped me dip in and out easily, and also think about our world and humanity like Weir's work

Thank you so much for the suggestion!
Project Hail Mary! OMG. Never before had I felt trapped, so seduced and caught up in a story the way I did with that book! Can totally relate.
